Tufts Loan Forgiveness Program recipients named
Five students enrolled in the nurse teaching certificate program have been awarded forgivable loans by Tufts Health Plan.
Five students have been awarded forgivable loans for the nurse teaching certificate. The Tufts Health Plan Foundation has made this funding available to provide financial assistance to graduate nursing students who enroll or are enrolled in the nurse teaching certificate program. Boston College designates these participating students as "Tufts Health Plan Foundation Nurse Scholars."
This year's recipients are Margaret Bergmann '81, Kathleen Corrigan, Laura Donnellan, Lisa Thomas, and Diane Wolsifeffer MS '09.
The Tufts Health Plan Foundation, created by Tufts Health Plan in 2008, seeks to promote healthy lifestyles and improve health care issues by supporting non-profit community programs. In its first year, the foundation awarded $2.5 million to more than 60 community-based, not-for-profit organizations throughout Massachusetts.
