Dr. Rosanna DeMarco, associate professor, is the 2009 recipient of The Suzanne Feetham Nurse Scientist Family Research Award, given by the Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS). The award is presented annually to a nurse researcher whose program of research and scholarship focuses on the study of family and family related research. The award acknowledges outstanding contributions to family research in its broadest context such as research relevant to individuals, families and their communities, and social and health care policy.

Her research seeks to advance health policy using her model of collaborative community-based knowledge. She is the co-producer of the film Women's Voices Women's Lives, which she uses in her intervention research. The film is used by AIDS service organizations across the US and has been translated into Spanish and Vietnamese.
