News and Upcoming Deadlines

Program of Study Deadlines:

In the fall semester, all second year doctoral students (except C&I) will need to submit their Program of Study prior to registration for spring semester. Doctoral Program of Study forms need to be signed by the student, faculty advisor, and department chair. Final approved forms should be submitted to the department office.

All Master's and CAES students who began their program in Spring 2015 or Summer 2015 (except Counseling) will need to submit their Program of Study prior to registration for spring semester.  Master's and CAES Program of Study forms need to be signed by the student, faculty advisor, and Associate Dean. Final approved forms should be submitted to the Graduate Office (Campion 135).

The deadline for submitting the Program of Study form for fall semester is Friday, November 6, 2015. If the form is not submitted by the deadline, a registration hold will be placed on your account and you will not be able to register for spring semester.

All Master's and CAES students who began their program in Fall 2015 and first year Counseling Psychology students will need to submit their Program of Study prior to registration for summer and fall semester.  Master's and CAES Program of Study forms need to be signed by the student, faculty advisor, and Associate Dean. Final approved forms should be submitted to the Graduate Office (Campion 135).

The deadline for submitting the Program of Study form for spring semester is Monday, April 4 , 2016.  If the form is not submitted by the deadline, a registration hold will be placed on your account and you will not be able to register for summer or fall semesters.

Master's/CAES Comprehensive Exam Information - FALL 2015



Students must register for EDUC8100/APSY8100/ELHE8100/ERME8100 and submit the online registration form in order to be completely registered to take their comprehensive exam requirement.

The deadline to submit the form for all programs  is Friday, October 9

CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION

The format is a take-home exam and will be distributed on Friday, October 16, 2015.  Exams are due back no later than 4p.m. on the following Friday, October 23, 2015. 

HIGHER EDUCATION

The format is a take-home exam and will be distributed on Friday, October 23, 2015.  Exams due back no later than 10 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2015. There will be a Higher Education Comprehensive Exam Information Session held.  Information will be emailed to those registered for the exam. The exam will be held February 26-February 29, 2016 during the spring semester. 

APPLIED DEVELOPMENTAL AND EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

All students will complete and present to the faculty a poster presentation delineating central experiences and findings from their practicum. Presentation will be done at the conclusion of the final semester in the program.  One the form has been submitted, connect with your faculty advisor or program coordinator. 

EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION

The format is a multiple choice and oral exam.  Once the form has been submitted, contact Jillian Gomolka in the ERME Department to schedule your exam. 

EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP

For students in the licensure program, the exam consists of an oral presentation and defense of the student's practicum portfolio and leadership platform.  For students in the non-licensure program, the format of the exam is a written response to a series of prompts.  Exam materials will be due toward the end of the semester.  Oral exams will be scheduled individually with the department toward the end of the semester.  All written exams must be completed by early December.  

ALL TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS

The Comprehensive Exam requirement will be satisfied by the successful completion of EDUC 7431/EDUC 7432, Inquiry Seminar. You  MUST submit this form to be cleared to graduate from your Master's program.

COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY
The Comprehensive Exam is offered in the spring semester only.  The format is a in class multuple choice exam.
