City Connects is an innovative school-based intervention that revitalizes student support in elementary schools (K-5). City Connects, formerly Boston Connects, collaborates with teachers to identify the strengths and needs of every child.

Formerly Boston Connects, the school-based model identifies the strengths and needs of every student and links each child to a tailored set of intervention, prevention, and enrichment services in the community.

The program efficiently and cost-effectively address students’ academic, social-emotional, family, and physical well-being.

Data shows that this systematic and scalable approach to meeting the needs of urban students helps children thrive in school, improves academic performance, and significantly narrows the achievement gap.

Currently 17 Boston Public Schools use the City Connects model of student support.
