Professional Development Credit

new teacher academy

As a teacher-participant, you are eligible to receive a professional development certificate to document your involvement in the Academy. This certificate will indicate the number of contact hours that you completed as part of this induction program sponsored by Boston College Teachers for a New Era in partnership with Boston Public Schools. As the Lynch School of Education is an accredited teacher preparation institution in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you can use this documentation to seek professional development credit from your school or district.

After the New Teacher Academy, you will receive a communication with instructons on how to receive such documentation. In order for the certificate to be processed, you must complete an online professional development survey and document the attended sessions. Your professional development certificate will be send via email.

Boston Public Schools

If you are a teacher within Boston Public Schools, then you are eligible to receive one professional development credit for your participation in the two-day conference. To earn one credit, you must participate in both days of the conference and attend seven sessions. Boston Public Schools and the Center for Leadership Development approved this induction experience for beginning teachers.
