Marcia Liu is a second year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Boston College. She received her MA in General Psychology from New York University, and her BA in Economics and Psychology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.  She is a member of the Asian American Psychological Association, and a student affiliate of APA. Marcia joined ISPRC in the Fall of 2007 as a graduate research assistant, assisting with the annual Diversity Challenge Conference, the Summer Training Program, article publication, and community program evaluation.  Marcia's research interests center around racial and ethnic identity development among Asian Americans, cultural differences in psychopathology presentation, and the psychological effects of race related images in pop culture on people of color.  Her past experiences have involved working with foster families, Native American farmers and ranchers, and urban middle school students.  She will be working as part of the clinical team at the South Boston Behavioral Health Center this fall.

In her spare spare time Marcia enjoys running, cooking, and listening to old school hip hop.
