Alesha Harris is a first year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Boston College. She received her BA in psychology from Temple University, and a MA from Boston College in Counseling Psychology. She is a student affiliate in the American Psychological Association. Alesha joined ISPRC in the summer of 2008 as a graduate research assistant, assisting with the annual Diversity Challenge Conference and the Summer Training Program. Alesha also serves as a co-facilitator for the Jernigan Sankofa Project and Adolescent Advisory Board. Alesha's research interests include racial and ethnic identity development in adolescent girls of Color, the study of micro aggressions, and alternative interventions addressing trauma for people of Color.In her spare time she loves listening to music, trying new food, watching sports and movies, traveling, and spending time with family.
