Meet the Staff
Qingyi Yu is a doctoral candidate in the Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology program at Boston College. She came to Boston College from Peking University in China, where she earned her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Fine Arts. She is a graduate student affiliate of the American Psychology Association. Her current research interests involve examining the effects of racial, cultural, and Womanist identity on women's perception of self image and psychological well-being. She is also interested in the acculturation process and its interaction with gender role socialization among the first generation immigrants and international female students in the United States.
In her spare time, Qingyi enjoys traveling, cooking, and doing traditional Chinese art work.
