Meet the Staff

kisha bazelais

Kisha Bazelais is a fourth year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at Boston College. She received her Ed.M / MA in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is an active member of the National Association of Black Psychologists, and the local New England chapter of ABPsi. Kisha joined ISPRC in the Fall of 2005 as a graduate research assistant, assisting with the annual Diversity Challenge Conference, the Summer Training Program, and grant preparation for a collaborative research project examining the influence of racial and cultural individual-difference attributes on the standardized tests scores of students of color attending predominantly minority institutions of higher education.

Kisha’s research interests center around racial and ethnic identity development and race-based traumatic stress amongst the Black elderly population.

In her spare time, Kisha enjoys cooking traditional Haitian food.
