City Connects highlighted in the New York Times

In an NYTimes opinion piece detailing the benefits of community and school partnerships, Professor David Kirp gave specific mention to City Connects. Kirp points out that City Connects "has erased two-thirds of the achievement gap in math and half the achievement gap in English," and that for these students, their "high school dropout rate was cut nearly in half." Because of the benefits to society - including higher incomes, lower incarceration rates, better health and less reliance on welfare - Kirp concludes that "If City Connects were a company, Warren Buffett would snatch it up."
