While the Lynch School enjoys a ranking of 19th in the nation among research schools of education in U.S. News and World Report for 2009, we believe mission is more important than rank. Our mission, to improve the human condition through education, is a powerful force that shapes the experiences of our graduate students, establishes priorities within the school, and attracts faculty who share these same values of social justice and service. We are seeking future students whose goals can be served by this mission, whether as educators, psychologists, administrators, researchers, or policy makers.

The scholarship of our faculty and students promotes cooperation not competition, calling for collaboration among our departments and programs and extending beyond the Lynch School to other areas of the University and the community.
