Essay Questions

For convenience you can type your essays in a separate word processing program and simply copy and paste them into the text boxes. Please limit your responses to one page per essay.

Essay I
What motivated you to apply to the Urban Catholic Teacher Corps of Boston College and the Archdiocese of Boston?

Essay II
Participants in the Urban Catholic Teacher Corps live a simple life together in a community residence. Community living is different from living in a dorm or an apartment where individuals come and go as they please. It requires a commitment to the program and to the other members of the community that sometimes necessitates sacrificing one's personal agenda for the good of the community.

What is your understanding of life in a community? What appeals to you about this unique living experience? What do you feel you can offer to the community and to the program?

Candidates should email uctc@bc.edu once all application materials have been submitted. We will reply to your email to set up an interview, either by phone or in person.
