SPICE (Selected Programs for Improving Catholic Education) is a joint venture between Boston College and the National Catholic Education Association to honor successful K-12 Catholic school programs and promote them as national models for other educators.

School programs that address current needs with innovative approaches are invited to give presentations at the annual Conversations in Excellence symposium held each summer at Boston College.  Teams of three leaders from each school share their stories about how they recognized, developed, and implemented their educational programs.  This sharing is used to facilitate interactive "conversations" to help identify ways that these programs could be adapted to meet the needs of other schools and settings.

The 2008 Conversations in Excellence symposium will be held June 26-28 at Boston College.  The theme is "Design for Success: New Configurations for Catholic Schools."  For more information, please visit SPICE website.
