Mears Appointed Superintendent of Boston Catholic Schools

The Archdiocese of Boston has announced that Kathleen Power Mears has been selected to be the next Superintendent of Schools.  Ms. Mears formerly served as the Executive Director for Elementary Education at the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) in Washington, D.C.  Press Release from the Archdiocese of Boston

Emmaus Series Principals Lead Haiti Trip with Students

Two Catholic school leaders, Bernie Audette and Anne Kenendy, who are part of the Roche Center's Emmaus Series Leadership Program, led a mission trip to Haiti during Easter Break for their students at Holy Name Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School in Worcester, Massachusetts.  During the trip, the group cleared land, built a small home, met many new people, and got to experience the Haitian culture.  The Catholic Free Press

The Roche Center at the 2014 NCEA Annual Conference

Staff from The Roche Center will be attending the Annual National Catholic Educational Association's (NCEA) Conference in Pittsburgh from April 22nd - April 24th. Staff members and doctoral students will be leading sessions on the Two-Way Immersion Network of Catholic Schools, The Jesuit High School Study, and The National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools.  For a complete list of Roche Center Sessions, please click here.
