Professional Development

boston college campus school

The Campus School requires all direct-care staff to engage in professional development activities. Staff members develop an annual professional development plan to refine their skills and drive their pursuit of pertinent activities.

Professional development can be pursued through Campus School–provided training, enrolling in graduate-level courses at Boston College with tuition reimbursement equal to 6 classes per year, utilizing Boston College Human Resources and Information Technology, and attending conferences outside of the university setting.

The Campus School embraces the philosophy that its students and staff should be lifelong learners. The professional development plan reflects the needs and interests of the staff members within individualized goals.
