Boston Connects

a school-community-university partnership

Boston Connects is a school-based, systemic collaboration among Boston Public Schools, community agencies, and Boston College designed to promote strengths in academic, social-emotional, and physical well-being and alleviate barriers to learning in elementary school students.

Our mission is to have children engage and learn in school by connecting each child with a tailored set of prevention, intervention, and enrichment services s/he needs to thrive.

Boston Connects Mission

Boston Connects now works systemically across twelve elementary and K-8 schools, in order to:

  • Significantly increase student academic achievement
  • Reduce barriers to learning through provision of student support and family support services, including mental health and social services.
  • Expand academic and cultural enrichment opportunities through positive youth development activities
