ERME maintains a strong community with current students and alumni.  The department is always trying to improve its communication with students, plan events that foster academic sharing of knowledge, create social opportunities for students, faculty, and staff, and continue to be an important source of information and services for graduates of the program.

Stay in touch with ERME!  We create a bi-monthly newsletter featuring recent department events and informational updates from faculty, students and alumni.  To receive or submit materials to the newsletter, please contact Jillian at

ERME Student Representative

ERME has a volunteer student representative, Claire Chang, who serves as a liaison between the ERME students and the faculty and represents the student perspective at monthly department meetings. She also organizes social and educational activities for students and faculty to come together to build a sense of community among the ERME team, such as our Brown Bag Seminar, to be scheduled for the fall of 2014.

Claire can be contacted at

Check out our 2012 Getting to Know ERME booklet to learn more about our current students' personal and academic interests, as well as experiences within ERME.
