Boston
College Law School is leading the way into the new millenium. The East Wing's
classrooms are state of the art, with each seat being fully wired for data transmission
and electricity. Professors in these classrooms have an electronic command center
at their disposal, capable of raising and lowering lights and full-size movie
screens, and operating computer and projection equipment. Students have data
ports and electrical outlets at every seat, and each classroom is also capable
of wireless data transmission.
The Law Library seats 560 users in 200 individual carrels, 44 four-person study tables, nine group study rooms, a state-of-the-art computer center, and three computer-assisted legal research and instruction rooms. There are a total of 62 lab computers, and 23 Quest computers. The Law Library is fully equipped for wireless data transmission.
Classrooms in Stuart House have been recently rebuilt, and also are fully capable
of wireless data transmission.
Recognizing the Law School's committment to the use of both wired and wireless
technology, National Jurist Magazine recently placed BC Law #3 in the
country on their "Most Wired" list, which attempts to rank the leaders
of the most innovative technology programs across the country.
