Dear Admitted Student:

Congratulations on your acceptance to Boston College Law School. As Director of the Emerging Enterprises and Business curriculum at the law school, I was especially pleased to learn about your interest in the area.

Boston College Law School prides itself on the breadth and quality of its business law curriculum. The diversity of the program provides students with an opportunity to obtain a solid foundation in business law including the commercial, corporate, tax, intellectual property, and labor areas, and then take advanced courses which permit application of learning to experiences which are encountered in actual practice.

For example, we feature a full service business law clinic at our Legal Assistance Bureau in Waltham. Students who participate in this program handle a full range of matters for local businesses. Courses such as Advising the Business Planner (a course taught in conjunction with the Carroll School of Management), Corporate Planning and Counseling, and Business Contracts and Fiduciaries permit students to obtain a flavor of real world practice while acquiring substantive skills. For additional enrichment, law students may take as many as four graduate level courses at the School of Management at Boston College. Finally, Boston College also offers a joint degree (J.D./M.B.A.) program in law and business.

I would be happy to talk to you about our business law program or to answer any questions you may have about Boston College Law School. Please feel free to contact me through the Admissions Office at (617) 552-2688. Again, congratulations on your acceptance and I hope for the opportunity to meet you next fall as a first-year student.
