First-year Curriculum

The stimulating first-year curriculum at BC Law introduces you to the analysis of legal authority and provides opportunities to develop oral and written communication skills in the context of professional responsibility and ethics. We offer a full-year Law Practice course, which, because of BC Law's substantial investment of resources, is nationally recognized for its rigorous curriculum and methodology.

In the first semester you also take Civil Procedure, Contracts, and Torts. In the second semester you take Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Property, as well as a three-credit elective selected from a menu of choices.
