Newton, MA--The 26th Annual BC Public Interest Law Foundation Auction will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 6:00-10:00 pm in Newton Room of Corcoran Commons on Boston College Main Campus.
The PILF Auction is an annual sell-out event that brings together alumni, faculty, students, and members of the community to celebrate BC Law’s strong commitment to public interest law and to honor a graduate who has made an extraordinary contribution to the field of public interest law. This year's Auction honors BCLS alumnus Gary Buseck (J.D. '80). Mr. Buseck currently serves as Legal Director for GLAD. Previous to this position, Mr. Buseck served as Legal Director for Lambda Legal, and was the Executive Director of GLAD from 1997-2003.
The Auction features a silent auction that is open for bidding throughout the evening and a special live auction after a short address by the honoree. Items up for bid include New England get-aways, certificates to top local eateries, and a wide variety of items in between.
The proceeds from the auction go toward funding summer stipends for BC Law students engaged in unpaid, public sector legal summer internships. Last year, PILF raised over $40,000 at the Auction.
