Newton, MA—Several members of the Boston College Law School community will receive awards at the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) annual meeting this year.
BC Law Professor Mary Bilder and Professor Emerita Sharon O'Connor have been selected for the Law Library Journal Article of the Year Award for their article, "Appeals to the Privy Council before American Independence: an Annotated Digital Catalogue."
Laurel Davis and Chester Kozikowski will receive the AALL Spectrum Article of the Year Award for their article "Rare Books & Technology: Collaborating within the Library." Davis is a Legal Information Librarian, Special Lecturer in Law and Curator of Special Collections at the library, while Kozikowski is an Educational Technology Specialist.
“We are delighted about these awards,” said Associate Dean for Library and Technology Services Filippa Anzalone, “both because they highlight the work of four authors who are creative and hard-working and because their articles highlight the marriage of legal history and technology. Their projects open historical sources for legal scholars in new and exciting ways.“
The winners will receive their awards during the AALL Annual Meeting in Seattle at the Law Library Journal and AALL Spectrum Authors Reception on Monday, July 15.
