PILF Auction to be Held March 20

2012 news archive

Newton, MA--Boston College Law School's annual Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) auction will be held at the Taj Boston's Grand Ballroom on March 20, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 pm.

The PILF auction raises money to provide summer stipends to BC Law students working in unpaid, public interest positions. Many of these students would be unable to accept such volunteer positions without PILF stipends. PILF also works with BC Law to help provide loan repayment assistance to BC Law graduates working in the public sector, and to support BC Law students interested in working in the public sector through events, networking opportunities and other programming initiatives.

"PILF relies on dedicated student volunteers to help run a successful auction," said Amy Parker, auction coordinator and a member of the class of 2013. "We also depend on the help of our faculty and staff who partipate in the auction through donations. We would not be able to do the work we do without the support of our community."

PILF Auction volunteers are currently soliciting donations. To donate, buy a ticket to the auction, or encourage current and former students to be involved, please visit PILF's Website.

The Taj is located at 15 Arlington Street in Boston.
