2/09/09--Boston College Law School Magazine has received two medals in the CASE District 1 2009 Communications Awards competition. The publication won a gold in the Best Writing category and a silver in the Best Overall Magazine category, according to awards chair Ellen Hardy.

"Our magazine consistently wins awards for its design and interesting content," said BC Law Dean John H. Garvey. "We are pleased to provide our alumni with a magazine of such quality. They clearly appreciate it, just as we appreciate CASE’s recognition of the hard work and dedication of editor Vicki Sanders and the contributors she hires."

The honors join a string of accolades from CASE that BC Law Magazine has won over the years. "We are thrilled to be recognized once again," said  Sanders. "We feel both honored and lucky to have our peers judge us in such a fine light."

The winning entries were the 2008 Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter issues.

BC Law Magazine, launched in 1992, is published twice a year for alumni and friends of the Law School. It reaches an audience of 16,000 readers.

It has won numerous awards, among them district recognition in the design and overall categories and four national Circle of Excellence Awards.

In a recent survey, two-thirds of BC Law alumni said that BC Law Magazine was their major source of information about the Law School.
