McGovern Fund Scholarship from the Massachusetts Association of Women
6/17/08--Boston College Law School is pleased to announce that Nicole Prairie (Class of 2009) has received the 2008 Honorable Sheila E. McGovern Fund Scholarship from the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers (MAWL).
"Nicole is incredibly enthusiastic about law school and the practice of law," said Cara J. Fineman, Assistant Director of Career Services. "She's bright, articulate, and very well grounded. As a transfer student she immediately immersed herself in BC Law by joining clubs and fomenting relationships with her peers and professors. We're very proud of her for receiving this award."
MAWL is committed to promoting activities directed toward the advancement of women in the profession of law and in society. Prairie was presented her award on June 11 at MAWL's annual banquet, which included the presentation of the Distinguished Jurist Award to The Honorable Joyce London Alexander, United States Magistrate Judge. The Keynote Speaker at the event was Diane Patrick, Esquire.
