Intercampus Delivery

boston college law library

The most efficient way to obtain library materials located on the Chestnut Hill campus is to go directly to the individual library and check out or photocopy the material there. As an alternative, you may use Quest to:

· request delivery of on-shelf books from the Chestnut Hill campus libraries (including O'Neill Library)
· request delivery of photocopies or electronic copies of articles located in O'Neill Library.

Book Delivery: To request on-shelf items from any of the Chestnut Hill campus libraries go to Quest and click on "Sign in to My Quest Account"; after signing in, click on "Request Book Delivery From O'Neill Library." Please expect a minimum of 48 hours for delivery, and limit your requests to no more than 5 items per day.

Article Delivery: To request electronic copies or photocopies of material located in the O'Neill Library, go to Quest and click on "Sign in to My Quest Account"; after signing in, click on "Request Document Delivery From O'Neill Library." Please limit your requests to no more than 5 articles per day.

You will be notified by e-mail when the item is available for pickup at the law library. You also will be notified if the item is not available.

Books which are on order, checked out to other users, or located at remote sites can be requested directly via the online catalog Quest.

Remote Locations
The O'Neill Library has three remote collection sites: New England Deposit Library (NEDL), Kenny-Cottle Library (K-C) and Newton Resource Center (NRC). Requests for materials from these libraries may be made through Quest or at the O'Neill Library Circulation Desk. Because Kenny-Cottle and Newton Resource Center are located on the law school campus, law school faculty and students may receive items from those two collections more quickly by requesting them directly at the law library's Information Desk by filling out and submitting this form.
