Named Scholarships

office of advancement

Boston College Law School is in competition for students of the highest caliber of talent. A diverse group of scholars creates an environment that broadens students’s personal and intellectual horizons, and it enriching the law school experience both inside and outside the classroom.

Applicants weigh many options when comparing schools: their quality, reputations, and missions; their distinctive programs; their campuses and locations; and especially their costs.

Many talented applicants find their choices constrained by affordability. BC Law awards scholarships to JD candidates on the grounds of both merit and need. Thanks to the generosity of the School’s alumni and friends, BC Law awards a number of scholars each academic year. Scholars are selected evalutated on their demonstrated leadership, academic excellence, or public service achievements, with each award following guidelines expressed by the donor. The criteria for many of these scholarships is partially or solely financial need.

All decisions are made by the School and are guided by criteria set by the donor. Some scholarships also provide mentoring opportunities for the recipient.
