Achieving Bipartisanship

On Monday, March 19, 2007, Boston College Law School and the 75th Celebration Committee held the final 75th Celebration public event,
'Achieving Bipartisanship: The Challenge for National Leadership.'
Featuring many of the Law School's national political leaders,
including Senator John Kerry and Congressman Edward Markey, among others,
the event included a keynote address from Kerry, a moderated panel discussion, and breakout discussion groups
with law students and the law school community.
The event was a tremendous success, drawing an overflow crowd of over 300 people to the Law School's East Wing building. The event also received media coverage on local and national radio and television networks.
In addition to Senator Kerry and Congressman Markey, the event included former Senator Warren Rudman ('60) and featuring members
of the US Congressional delegation including U.S. Representatives
Stephen Lynch ('91), Robert "Bobby" Scott,
('73), Michael E. Capuano, ('77), and Paul Hodes ('78).
All participants received the Law School's 75th Alumni Awards.
