Available parking for visitors at the Law School is anywhere between the white lined spaces. A parking attendant will be available to give you a temporary pass and to show you where to park.
If the parking attendant is not in the booth, it is OK to keep going. After you pass the booth, make a left. You will see a Boston College shuttle stop on the left and the East Wing (a brick building) on the right. Keep going. You will see another Boston College shuttle stop on the left. The back of Stuart House (our main administrative building) will be on the right. You may also see a few Boston College shuttle buses parked in the area. Please do not park in any of the yellow lined parking spaces. Look for any of the white lined parking spaces. You may have to keep going, past Stuart House and past the dormitories (Keyes South and Keyes North). These dormitories will be on the right. It is OK to keep going since there are more white lined parking spaces in the area. You will also see the following landmarks from a distance (our game field, Quonset Hut, our practice field, Alumni House, and another Boston College shuttle stop). We have more white lined parking spaces near those landmarks.
In case you are taking public transportation, there are 3 options:
1. You could take the MBTA's "Green Line" (B train). It ends at the Boston College T stop on Commonwealth Avenue. It will be the last stop, no more passengers after this. Once you get off the train, you will see the St. Ignatius Church directly across the street. The church is on the corner of Fr. Herilihy Drive and Commonwealth Avenue. Stay on Commonwealth Avenue and walk uphill. The T stop where you were should now be on your right as you walk uphill. You will pass the Boston College Career Center and some dormitories on your left. The BC shuttle stop is at the Main Gate of the Chestnut Hill Campus. Wait there until the Newton Campus shuttle bus comes along; do not take the shuttle that says "Commonwealth Avenue". The shuttle bus drivers usually drop their passengers off at Stuart House near the back of the building.
2. You could take a taxi. First, you would take the MBTA’s “Green Line” (B train). **IMPORTANT** If you decide to take the B line, give yourself extra time. This particular line has many stops along the way. When you get off the B train at the Boston College T stop, you should see taxi's parked on the same side of the street, near the train stop. The cost should be between $9.00 and $10.00. Ask the driver to bring you to the Boston College Law School/Newton Campus. The taxi drivers usually drop their passengers off at Stuart House.
3. You could take the MBTA's "Green Line" (D train) to the Newton Centre T stop and walk to the Law School. We are located at 885 Centre Street in Stuart House, Room 302. It is a 15 to 20 minute walk. After you get off the train, walk up the steps where you will see several shops directly across from you. Cross the street and you will be on Herrick Road. Keep going and you will see a busy intersection. You will see the First Baptist Church in Newton on one corner and Liberty Travel on the other. Press any button for the walk signal so that you can quickly cross over to Centre Street. Make a right on Centre Street. Here are a few landmarks: On your left will be a Starbucks, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the CVS Pharmacy, the Tango Mango Restaurant, the Newton Centre Playground, the Greek Evangelical Church, and the Trinity Episcopal Church. On your right will be a Brookline Bank, a Citizens Bank, a Common area with benches and the Dellaria Day Spa. You will come to the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Centre Street. Continue on Centre Street, through the residential area. You will see a stone wall and the entrance to the Law School on your left.
