LL.M. student Francisca Fajana has been chosen a “Top Woman of Law” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Fajana, a native of Nigeria, came to the U.S. in 1986 as her country’s regime was on the verge of collapse. She earned her J.D. from Suffolk University in 1993, then spent eight years at the Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts. Since 2001, she has been at the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, working on community lawyering, legislative advocacy, and class action litigation with an institutional reform orientation. The awards ceremony took place on Friday September 23.
