“I was particularly impressed by our professors’ enthusiasm in class and their willingness to talk to students outside of the classroom. And my classmates – brilliant, friendly students from more than ten countries – were unforgettable. Finally, BC Law provides a wide variety of courses that may interest LL.M. students. I came to love the distinguished faculty, my splendid classmates, and the great facilities.”
Myoung Soo Cho is a senior associate at one of the leading law firms in Asia, advising international financial institutions on Korean financial and securities regulation. He also speaks on securities and banking regulation in seminars sponsored by a variety of government and private-sector entities. Before joining Kim & Chang in 2005, he spent five years as in-house counsel at the Korean Financial Supervisory Service, the government authority responsible for the supervision and regulation of financial institutions.
Originally from a small town in the southern part of his country, Mr. Cho is a marathon runner who also enjoys swimming and watching movies. His choice of career was heavily influenced by his experience of the Korean financial crisis in the late 1990s, which convinced him of the impact that law and lawyers can have on a society’s well-being.
