New Exhibit on Display in Law Library

9/3/09--The Boston College Law Library's latest exhibit, Recent Additions to the Collection, showcases a selection of materials the Library has acquired during the past two years. Many of them were purchased to strengthen the library’s collection of works likely to have been owned and used by working English and American lawyers who lived during the fifteenth through nineteenth centuries, while others were purchased to enhance bequests of books and gifts of manuscripts donated to the library in recent years.   more »

Rabb Named Carnegie Scholar

CHESTNUT HILL, MA (August 2009) - Boston College Law School Assistant Professor Intisar Rabb, whose research focuses on the theory and practice of Islamic law in contemporary society and throughout history, has been named a 2009 Carnegie Scholar by the Carnegie Corporation of New York.   more »

BC Law Welcomes Class of 2012

9/03/2009--Boston College Law School is pleased to welcome the incoming first-year students from the class of 2012, one of the most competitive and impressive in the School's history.  BC Law received over 7,100 applicants for 264 seats, or 27 candidates per seat. The number of applications received once again puts BC Law among the top few schools of its size in application volume.   more »

Garvey to Speak at O'Malley Dinner

9/11/09--BC Law Dean John H. Garvey will be the featured speaker at a dinner hosted by Cardinal Sean O'Malley at the Seaport Hotel in Boston on September 20, 2009. The dinner will follow the Red Mass, held at 4 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.   more »
