Salome Raheim, PhD, ACSW, is Dean and Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work and is the first African American and person of color to hold this position. She served as founding co-director of the university’s Health Disparities Institute from 2010 to 2014. Professor Selected as Fellow of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare

Professor Kevin Mahoney, director of the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work's National Resource Center for Participant-Directed Services (NRCPDS), has been selected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare. The Academy is an honorific society of distinguished scholars and practitioners dedicated to achieving excellence in the field of social work and social welfare through high impact work that advances social good.

Three Boston College Graduate School of Social Work professors are now fellows in the Academy: Kevin Mahoney, Ruth McRoy, and James Lubben.
