Cash & Counseling Program cited as model in Wall Street Journal

FEBRUARY 10, 2010

Newt Gingrich presented his "10 GOP Health Ideas for Obama" in an article in the the Wall Street Journal where he cited the Boston College Cash & Counseling Program (now known as the National Resource Center for Participant-Directed Services-NRCPDS) headed by GSSW faculty member Professor Kevin Mahoney.

Dr. Mahoney is an expert on state government and long-term care innovation, he speaks and writes extensively on consumer direction, the roles of the public and private sectors in financing long-term care, long-term care insurance and care management. "The Cash & Counseling Program has received bipartisan support since the days of the Clinton administration."
