Masters in Social Work: Social Innovation and Leadership Program - Students who want to obtain a Masters in Social Work degree and develop a set of competencies related to social innovation processes, projects, and perspectives can enroll in the Social Innovation + Leadership (SIL program). Our students have numerous opportunities to study social innovation and to apply knowledge to practice situations. Learn more.
Students have the option to participate in multiple workshops designed to complement course content and help prepare students for leadership, and management.
A Seminar series at United Way Mass Bay with SIL students and supervisors to inform practice on leadership and innovation. There is also a Luncheon series that brings leaders to campus to engage with students in a personal setting.
A faculty-facilitated experience designed to support the development and planning of a social enterprise. Graduate student teams work on business plans and ideas for resource development to support an organization’s proposed enterprise.
Students, practitioners, and leaders from the field gather to present and discuss innovative practice in a dynamic forum.
In partnership with Pontifica Universidad Catolica, students are provided a cross-cultural experience to participate with ongoing social innovation projects in Chile.
