Social Innovation Dialogue

The Social Innovation Experience

First-year Social Innovation and Leadership Program students come together for an experiential social innovation learning opportunity. Innovation Day focuses on four sessions to help students develop a plan for social innovation. These activities integrate some of the processes used in the GSSW Social Innovation Lab model.

Social Innovation Lab: Rapid Prototyping Day

The Social Innovation Lab at Boston College welcomes selected agency leaders to a day-long meeting aimed at developing a prototype to respond to their identified social problem. Agency leaders will work collaboratively to address pressing issues and identify possible solutions. 

The Social Innovation Symposium

The Graduate School of Social Work and the Boston College Capstone Program hosted the first Social Innovation Symposium at Boston College. Sponsored by the Institute for Liberal Arts, the event included a panel of social innovators: Earl Phalen, CEO of Reach Out and Read; Jim Laughlin, director of communications of Life is Good; and Eric Scharwz, co-founder and CEO of Citizen Schools
