Two recent BC Social Work alumni were awarded Catholic Relief Services (CRS) International Development Fellowships designed to further train those individuals interested in pursuing careers in global relief. Those alumni were Ashlen Nimmo, ’16, who recently completed her 10-month fellowship in Abuja, Nigeria, and Maya Perlmann, ’17, who this August will embark upon her work in Cairo, Egypt. Latino Leadership Initiative
Looking for bilingual, culturally aware job candidates?
To better prepare students to work with this diverse population, Boston College School of Social Work established a Latino Leadership Initiative (LLI) program within the MSW program. The LLI bolsters students' linguistic and cultural competencies to work with Latino communities in the U.S. and abroad. A set of foundation and method courses are taught in Spanish.

This year the Boston College Career Center, School of Social Work and Lynch School Counseling Program have combined efforts to better serve employers looking to connect with a diverse and talented group of students and alumni committed to socials service careers. Through the 2018 Social Services Recruitment Fair, employers can engage with students and alumni from our Master of Social Work and MA in Mental Health Counseling programs.
Undergraduate students are welcome to attend the last hour of the fair from 2:30-3:30.
