Charu Stokes was a five-year recipient of the Boston College Diversity Fellowship, awarded annually to provide an additional year of funding and valued at over $150,000.

Charu was commissioned at the rank of Captain in May 2012 and selected to join the 5th Medical Group, Mental Health Squadron, at Minot Air Force Base in Minot, North Dakota.
