Dean's Welcome

Dean Alberto GodenziWelcome to the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work website. We have created these pages to provide you with details about our truly outstanding school. We update our site regularly to keep you informed of news, events and opportunities in the social work field. We have worked hard to match the energy, excitement and innovation of the students and faculty here at BC.

The Graduate School of Social Work is at the very heart of BC's mission of social justice. Our programs incorporate and reflect the Jesuit goals of this unique university, located on the outskirts of a welcoming, international city. The Jesuit foundation makes it possible that rational thought and faith, logical inquiry and belief, are seen as complementary and synergistic.

Our faculty excels in teaching, research and service. Our students succeed in a rigorous academic setting. Yet, we never lose sight of our major goal: to assist and empower the disadvantaged members of our society who are entitled to social justice.

We are proud that our school is known and admired for the heartfelt dedication of our faculty, staff and administrators. We want your experience here to be enriching and delightful. We are committed to working with students, agencies and others to find out how our resources can best match their needs. Please take the opportunity to explore our website, learn more about us, and tell us how we may best serve you.
