Newt Gingrich presented his "10 GOP Health Ideas for Obama" in an article in the the Wall Street Journal where he cited the Boston College Cash & Counseling Program (now known as the National Resource Center for Participant-Directed Services-NRCPDS) headed by GSSW faculty member Professor Kevin Mahoney.
Dr. Mahoney is an expert on state government and long-term care innovation, he speaks and writes extensively on consumer direction, the roles of the public and private sectors in financing long-term care, long-term care insurance and care management. "The Cash & Counseling Program has received bipartisan support since the days of the Clinton administration."
