In Service: The GSSW "Memory Walkers"

GSSW volunteers at this year’s Alzheimer Memory Walk, September 15, 2009

Led by Associate Professor Katie McInnis-Dittrich, chair of the Older Adults & Families Concentration, students, faculty and alums from the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work participated in this year’s Alzheimer Memory Walk on September 27th along the Charles in Cambridge. The GSSW “Memory Walkers” team raised $6,785 which qualified them as an Alzheimers Walk “Elite Feet Team”.

Today as many as 5.3 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease. Millions more are affected by the disease as they care for loved ones who battle the devastating symptoms. When you participate in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk, you are taking action in the fight against this deadly disease.
