As we move further into the twenty-first century, there are new signs of life and hope for the church. Among these are the growing numbers of people who feel called to various ministries for the people of God. They are drawn to help others as religion teachers, social workers, diocesan and parish directors of religious education, spiritual directors, and chaplains at hospitals, schools and prisons. Others are seeking to fulfill their call as peace and justice ministers, liturgy directors and pastoral associates. Still others are pursuing graduate education to enrich their faith lives and enhance their ability to make meaningful and morally responsible connections between their Christian faith and their everyday lives. On June 1, 2008, Boston College IREPM will join with Weston Jesuit School of Theology and with C21 Online to form the new Boston College School of Theology and Ministry.
