If you experience technical difficulties that cannot be resolved, print out the forms and mail by the application deadline.
Help for PC Users
It is recommended that you use Internet Explorer to submit these forms.
If you get this error "Cannot handle content type: text/html" your form has been received by the Admissions Office. Please call or email the Office to receive your confirmation number. DO NOT resubmit the form.
Internet Explorer Users
- If you are submitting your application outside the browser window, Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater is needed to work with Adobe 6.0.
- If you are submitting your application inside the browser window, Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater is needed.
Netscape Users
- If you are submitting your application outside the browser window, Netscape 7.1 or greater is needed.
- If you are submitting your application inside the browser window, Netscape 6.2 or greater is needed.
- Netscape 6.0 does not support the completion of Adobe forms.
Help for Mac Users
We strongly recommend that you use the latest version of Firefox to submit these forms OUTSIDE of the browser. The forms cannot be submitted through Safari.
If you get this error "Cannot handle content type: text/html" your form has been received by the Admissions Office. Please call or email the Office to receive your confirmation number. DO NOT resubmit the form.
- The application must be opened with Adobe Acrobat.
- If you experience problems printing forms, try setting the selection “Print as Image” in the Printer Dialogue box after selecting the print button on the form.
- If you submit our forms using a MAC, you will most likely not receive a confirmation page. Please call the Admissions Office at 617-552-3265 to ensure that your forms have been received successfully.
Help with Web Application Status Check
After you have successfully submitted a new application, you will receive an email with your user name and password, for accessing BC’s Agora portal.
Using Agora, you can check your GSAS application status using the Application Status tab. You must select the school to which you applied. Students applying to additional BC graduate schools will receive one email containing the above information.
If you experience difficulty accessing Agora you may log directly into the Web Application Status Check with either your Social Security number or your confirmation number. If you are unsure what your confirmation number is, please contact the Admissions Office.
