Join the International Management Experience (IME)
The International Management Experience (IME) provides an exceptional opportunity to visit leading corporations and government agencies in Asia and Europe. Participants meet with business leaders and officials, and observe the application of management principles and strategies in the global arena. The economic, cultural, and social factors that affect the conduct of business in a variety of industries and contexts are explored in depth.
In recent years, Asia IME participants have traveled after the spring semester to Singapore, Thailand, Japan, China, Korea, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. They have visited the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Korea, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Nike, AT&T, Samsung Electronics Co., Singapore Airlines, Mitsubishi Electric, NTT DoCoMo, Nissan Motor, and Fidelity Investments Japan.
The Europe IME has included visits to Germany, France, Italy, and Switzerland, as well as emerging market economies in Central and Eastern Europe. Students have visited the European Commissions, Boston Scientific, Smart International, Siemens, BMW, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
