Serving Our Community

The Carroll School is committed to instilling a strong sense of community service in its MBA graduate students. In an effort to align this commitment with the program, all MBA students must fulfill a requirement to serve others through meaningful work as volunteers. Students may choose to serve as mentors, role models, and academic tutors to children in surrounding communities. Students may also choose to provide pro bono consulting or other professional services to benefit a range of nonprofit organizations and off-campus programs. Students are encouraged to leverage their individual skills and expertise in business while furthering the Boston College, Jesuit tradition of service. See Community Service Guidelines.

Students with existing relationships in volunteer organizations are encouraged to submit the name, contact information, and a brief summary of the service opportunity. Students are encouraged to consult with Kathleen Joyce prior to engaging in a volunteer program in the event of uncertainty as to whether a particular volunteer program satisfies the conditions of the BC MBA service requirement.

Upon completion of volunteer service, please complete the MBA Community Service Form.
