Jillian Pace | Principal Fellow, Brooke High School
Shortly after earning her Master of Arts in Teaching, Jillian Pace began her career in education as a 7th and 8th grade math teacher at Park City Prep Charter School in Bridgeport, CT. It was here that Jillian faced the challenge of the achievement gap head-on for the first time. That experience ignited in her a deep passion to fight for change. When she and her wife decided to move to Boston, she found a position working as a 6 th grade math teacher at Match Middle School, in Jamaica Plain, to continue her work of ensuring all students equal access to a quality education. She taught 6th grade math for two years before stepping into a leadership role as the Director of the Match Corps Program. Most recently, Jillian served as the Academic Dean of Math at Match Middle School, where she coached and managed tutors and teachers and worked closely with the math department to develop rigorous math curriculum for her students. In the 2016-17 school year, she will serve as the Principal Fellow at Brooke’s Founding High School. She is humbled and honored to have the opportunity to collaborate and grow alongside such an amazing group of school leaders who are dedicated to fighting for equity in our educational system.
