Sarah McLaughlin | Principal, Frost Elementary School
Sarah McLaughlin is currently the Principal of the Frost Elementary school in Lawrence MA serving a population of 600 students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Previously, Sarah was a school leader in the Boston Public Schools at the Dever-McCormack School in Dorchester. Sarah served as the Director of the Office of School Redesign at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. She led the statewide Expanded Learning Time grant initiative as well as the US ED’s School Turnaround Grant. She was selected for participation in the Education Policy Fellowship Program. Sarah’s career in urban education began as an elementary teacher in Washington DC. While there, she co-founded an afterschool soccer and writing program for students. She is an active alumni of Teach For America. She also served as a Program Director at a middle school in New York City with the Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation. She holds a BA in Political Science from Boston University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University.
