Sara Hosmer | Principal, Martin E. Young School
Sara Hosmer is currently the principal at the Martin E. Young School in Randolph, serving a student body of 350 students. During her three years leading the school, she has guided the school’s transition to the Common Core, navigated the new teacher evaluation tool, managed the school-based budget to increase technology capabilities, and brought a “Bucket Filler” system to the school to encourage and to recognize positive social behaviors. Prior to working in Randolph, Sara worked in Boston and Chelsea, MA as a guidance counselor and school social worker. She completed the Boston Principal Fellowship through the Boston Public Schools in 2010. Sara’s career in urban schools began when she was a teacher in the Baltimore City Public Schools through Teach for America (1993). Sara graduated from Wheelock College in 1993. She holds a Master of Education Administration from Boston College (2007) and a Master of Social Work from Boston University (1997).
