Courtney Gosselin | Assistant Principal, Bowditch School
Courtney Gosselin has been a dedicated educator in the Salem Public Schools for the past sixteen years. Since December of 2014, Courtney has been an Assistant Principal at the Nathaniel Bowditch School (K8), where she primarily supports grades 5 8. As a turnaround school, Courtney and the Bowditch team are focused on creating a school culture that provides all students a supportive learning environment through positive behavior management, high quality core instruction, individualized interventions and enrichment opportunities. Prior to NBS, Courtney taught all levels of Spanish at Salem High School where she focused on designing curriculum and instruction to meet the specific needs of native Spanish speakers and increasing access to Advanced Placement Spanish courses. She also served on the Instructional Leadership Team and as head teacher of the Foreign Language Department. Courtney earned her BA in Latin American Studies and Political Science and her MA in Foreign Language Education at the University of Connecticut and completed advanced graduate studies at American International College.
