Jenna Cramer | Principal, Kilmer K-8 School
Jenna Cramer is an instructional leader who is committed to serving children and families in the Boston Public Schools. In the Boston Public Schools, she has been a literacy coach, Assistant Principal and currently serves as the Principal of the Kilmer K-8 in West Roxbury. In these roles, she has demonstrated experience with leading school change by utilizing the cycle of analyzing data to inform instruction in classrooms as well as developing shared goals for school improvement. She worked with two Boston Public Schools in particular, to develop and implement plans for literacy improvement that resulted in achieving AYP in the aggregate on the MCAS for the first time in many years.
Ms. Cramer brings with her extensive experience in promoting student literacy, having worked as a first grade teacher, a Reading Recovery teacher and an elementary Reading Specialist. She holds a Master’s Degree in Language Acquisition and Literacy from Wheelock Graduate School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Political Science from Emmanuel College. She is a proud Boston Principal Fellowship graduate.
